Provence with a camper
Your exciting Campervan- tour in Europe should take place in the pittoresk area of Provence. If you decide to travel to France we would like to give you some advices for the perfekt tour and the best accommodations in this region.
If you arrive from the north to the area Provence, Alpes, Côte Azur we strongly recommend a stopover at Pont du Gard. Close to the highway you find an easy access, even for bigger motorhomes, to the wonderful campsite La Sousta.
Dog – friendly Campground La Sousta
This huge campground is perfectly situated at the river Gardon. Its a 4 star campground in a forest of 14 hectars with a direct access to the river. You and your dogs are really welcome and you have the possibility to enjoy the beautiful nature of this little paradise.
To calm down use the nice little beaches and tracking paths in front of your door. After your road trip down to the south of Europe your stopover could not be better. The place is quiet and clean and embedded in the finest nature close to the roman monument Pont du Gard. The world heritage monument is just a walk of 6 minutes away from here and in the evening a nice and artificial illuminated spot for a little picnic directly at the riverside.Take a bottle of regional wine and cheese and some baguette and start your holidays right here.
As far as we know, there is no restricted area for dogs around. The city Remoulins is around 1km away and has the typical charm of the Provence. Here you will find a bakery, some charming little cafés and restaurants with shady places for you and your dogs. Some shops give you the opportunity to buy the things of your every day needs.

Recommendations for your trip to the south of France
For the off season we strongly recommend to be owner of an ACSI Card. With this card you luckily get the best prices for your accommodation on connected campgrounds. 17 € per night for the van, two persons and 1 dog & electricity is what you pay on most of the places in France. What a deal…..
